Educating the Most Vulnerable Girls
Uttar Pradesh accounts for the highest number of out-of-school adolescent girls in the country, where 9.9% of this cohort have never been to school.
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, 10 million adolescent girls are at a high risk of never returning to school, with direct implications of child marriage, early pregnancy, trafficking, child labour and violence.
